I approach therapy with a simple question:

"What do you want out of life, and what is holding you back from that?"

This question, and your answers, is where we begin the journey. I look forward to hearing from you.

Self-Compassion

Self-compassion entails being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate, rather than ignoring our pain or being hard on ourselves with self-criticism.

The belief you are good, lovable, and important to others.

The Hurt

You are always pushing yourself to do better and to do more.  It’s hard to feel like it’s ever enough.  When you don’t live up to your expectations of yourself, you feel shame or feel like a failure.  There’s a voice inside always pushing you to do more and berating you for not doing enough.

You can give yourself permission to be kind to yourself.

The Healing

You don’t have to live this way anymore.  You can make peace with yourself and be proud of your accomplishments, even if they don’t meet your expectations.  You can learn to have more reasonable expectations for yourself.  You can be kind to yourself.  You can find balance and rest.
